Eating is prohibited on Oshima island and on board the ship.

Please finish your meal before coming to the island.

The boxed lunches are available for purchase at the Uno Port Information Center (inside JR Uno Station) from 8:00 a.m. so that visitors can purchase them before crossing over to the island. These authentic boxed lunches are packed with delicious foods from Tamano and the Seto Inland Sea. We hope you will enjoy this lunch box while thinking about the history of Tamano, starting with "salt," one of the local industries of Tamano and a part of the city's history.

In the past, salt production flourished in Tamano, which has a mild climate with many sunny days and faces the Seto Inland Sea, where the tidal range is large. Even before the port and shipbuilding industry flourished, salt fields were spread all along the coast. Let's feel the history of salt production in Tamano and the flow of time through the breath of salt.
