Artwork No. ta16
On an island where the boundary with nature is blurring, we look up at the remains of houses left by people and the gardens that surround them.
Looking through the houses, we see gardens, the sea, and the sky.
Each one seems to be far away from the other, yet all seem to be under the same roof.
The trees, long out of human hands, are no different from the hazy Seto Inland Sea and the islands in the background, and seem to question the way we are in relation to nature.
