KISHII Daisuke

Playwright. Kishi has produced a number of works that explore the potential of formalization, which has been pursued in other genres since 1995, to theater. He serves as a part-time lecturer at the Department of Scenography Design, Drama, and Dance at Tama Art University.

2009-2012 Tokyo Conditions (play performed for 3 years; co-produced with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government)

Connection to Benesse/BASN
After graduating from university, Kishi worked for Benesse for five years from 1998 to 2013. He visited Naoshima in 2001 for the Standard Exhibition and also presented the closing talk for Yoshinori Niwa’s work Paying a Courtesy Call on the Incumbent Mayor by all his Predecessors in History held on Naoshima at Miyanoura Gallery 6.
